Does Cricket 19 on Windows via Xbox Game Pass not support online multiplayer?

I recently discovered Cricket 19 via Xbox Game Pass and have been hooked on the game ever since. I have been playing locally for a few months. I have tried multiple times to play online via their in-game matchmaker but it NEVER found any players. I thought to myself that game's servers are down and brushed it off. But I few a fellow players on Xbox and tried to play with them. When I sent them an invite they were not able to join my lobby. And everytime I tried to join their lobby I was just redirected to the game's main screen without any luck. I did some digging and a couple of people said that Xbox Game Pass does not support online multiplayer for some of the games within it;s libraries. Is this true or is there a workaround this?

Since you already have the Xbox game pass ultimate and the sitting is set to allowed, Would you please let us know what device are you using is it an Xbox console or Windows 10/PC? Are you facing this issue only with this game or all of your games?

To be able to play online multiplayer games you will need either the Xbox Live Gold subscription or the Xbox game pass ultimate subscription. Also, you will need to make sure that your multiplayer settings are set to allow. Here's how:

Open your web browser and navigate to the official Xbox website. Sign in using your credentials.
Now, click on the tab of Xbox One/Windows 10 Online Safety. Make sure that the option of You can join multiplayer games is Allowed.

Well, I have tried to join another user's lobby to play against them but as stated in the post it never worked out. That person was on Xbox console. Also, what's the source for your stats, just curious.

You wouldn't be able to play with your friend if they are on Xbox and you are on PC as the game is not cross-platform....so, only Xbox players can play with Xbox players, PC player with PC players etc. Not sure how it works between Steam and MS Store versions if there is cross-play support for that or not.
