Does credit from a gift card expire?

If you do things, like Microsoft, or words, promotional credit you get from there does expire, and that is almost certainly the second amount. Money you add from a gift card does not expire.

Unless the card is from a promotion or specifically mentions an expiration date, then it doesn't expire.
