    I sold an Xbox 360 that I don't use anymore but I forgot to remove my xbox account. Will changing my password sign out of that xbox 360 that I sold to prevent anyone from using it?

    Hello, when you change your password it immediately reflects across all devices and the next time your account needs to sign in on that device the new password will be required.

    However, if your account is online and active on a device the new password change will not sing the gamertag out of that device. The change will take effect the next time the account logs out then back in again or turns the device off

    It does not work yet. We have done this before. There is something confusing. He's playing on Minecraft. He does not need to sing in to play this. I suppose you mean log in and out from Microsoft account? Because if he's not logged in Microsoft account he
    still can play... Hope this is not too confusing....

    So he logs in using the browser and logging in and out from his account... ? When you mean log out and in from his device (a tablet) wich app should he loog in and out?

    Hi and thanks for reaching out. I hope you’re doing well. I'm an Independent Advisor and a Microsoft user like you and I'll be happy to help you.

    We do not have an option to remotely remove or sign out your account from another device but what I can recommend is to change your account password. This will immediately log out to anyone who is currently using your account on another device, and they will not be able to log in again unless they know the new password.
