Does buying DLC earn credits?

Discus and support Does buying DLC earn credits? in XBoX Rewards & Social to solve the problem; I didn't see that mentioned in the FAQ's.     Does buying DLC earn credits?


    I didn't see that mentioned in the FAQ's. I purchased Assassins Creed DLC January 15th and haven't had credits added.

    Forced Unleashed DLC

    I have not downloaded the Hoth DLC yet, but I did download The Temple and Tatooine DLC.

    Personally the Temple DLC is my favorite there is some more memorable battles and activities in The Temple than in Tatooine. Both are fun, but also short. The Temple and Tatooine both have achievements to earn in addition, while Hoth does not. That is one
    of my primary reasons for not buying Hoth yet.

    Destiny is looking like its gonna be a big

    I rarely buy DLC but will if its worth it and I dont mind MT that much as long as you can earn it through normal means.

    There were no specific offers for it, but it would be part of your VIP rebate which hasn't been calculated yet.

    From our FAQ:

    What content on the Xbox Store is eligible for MyVIP?

    Normally, most purchases for Xbox 360 and Xbox One from the Xbox Store qualify, including full Games on Demand titles (excluding game pre-orders), arcade games, indie games, game add-ons, game Season Passes, movies, TV shows, TV seasons,
    themes and avatar items. In-game consumables, Xbox Live Gold memberships, Groove Music Passes, Microsoft Movies & TV Season Passes, and the purchase or redemption of Microsoft Points or Xbox Gift Cards, still do not qualify.

    So your purchase is eligible for MyVIP. As mentioned in your previous post (Bought game, but no credits), MyVIP is not calculated
    until midway through the following month.

    You do understand that when you "buy" a DLC car in Forza, you don't actually get the car in your garage, correct? You have to buy it in-game using the credits you earn when completing races (or tokens, which you can buy with actual cash). Buying DLC cars
    in Forza only allows you to be able to buy them in-game.

    Turn10 gave away a Honda three car pack as free DLC a few weeks ago. Downloading that DLC does not put the cars in one's garage. They still have to be purchased in-game. The only car so far that I'm aware of which was given away AND shows up in one's garage
    is the Lotus E10 F1 car.

    Buying the car pass entitles you to purchase the cars with in-game credits. It does not automatically add them to your garage. You should be able to see the DLC cars in the Buy Cars menu. They won't appear in the My Cars menu until you add them by buying
    the car with in-game credits.
