Does anyone know why warzone 2.0 mutes my turtle beach mic so i can not use party chat

Oh, okay. So which means that you are able to use the mic on other games? Is this happening to every mode of the game? Have you already tried reinstalling the game just to check if that helps? As it might be due to the game installation. Check the settings as well in game if there is a way to turn on voice chat.

If I may ask, is this only happening on that specific game? How about other games?

If this is a wired headset, try using it on a different controller. Also, try testing the mic if it is working by sending a voice message to one of your friends and then play it back.

So i have a turtle beach headset that work perfectly fine when im in an xbox party but will not work when i try to talk in game chat (fortnite). Does anyone know solutions or if i have to buy a new headset?

If the mic works in party chat the issue is not the headset but the game itself. If you’re in Fortnite, go into the game settings and you’ll see audio options, you probably have your microphone muted in there.

I am having the same issue. Here is my setup:

1.) Headset is plugged into a Turtle Beach DSS (Dolby Surround Sound Processor).

2.) Turtle Beach DSS is plugged into the Optical Audio port of the Xbox One.

3.) Headset's 3.5mm Mic cable is plugged into a 3.5mm (3 Position) to 3.5mm (4 Position) cable that is then plugged into the Chat Adapter.

My friend's can hear me talking (so the mic is working) but I cannot hear them. The Mute button works, but all other buttons make no sound. Turtle Beach says to hold the Chat Balance button until it beeps, but nothing happens (does not make a sound).

This is quite annoying.

There is also a free adaptor for certain turtle beaches coming out next year.

What I want to know is if there is a way to select where the chat sound outputs. IE, I want chat sound to come through my speakers (turtle beach) WHILE the free chat headset is connected so I can just drape that around my neck and use it as a mic.
