Does anyone know if Microsoft COMPLETELY factory resets the consoles they repair?

if it still does it on a different tv and even with a different cable then it will most likely be the console, the only step now is to factory reset to see if that fixes the issue, if not then book a repair with microsoft.

Microsoft Hardware website allows customers to register their devices and create a repair order. A factory reset can only be done while the screen is visible. Be sure to let us know the results!

If this does not work then you may need to set up a repair of the console

Console reset is not factory reset.

They are different procedures.

It means activating your warranty and sending your console in for a review by the microsoft repair team.

If you then suggest the issue to be on the motherboard, then I'm afraid there is nothing you can do.

Since you already opened the console, Microsoft will not take it for repair, not even paid repairs.

If the motherboard is defective, your only option now is to buy a completely new console.

Before doing that, try a complete factory reset again. If that doesn't improve the situation, I'm afraid you'll need to get a new console.
