The profile in question hasn't been used in a long time and the last purchase on it was made by my dad! He passed away in 2013 so his old credit card expiration date is not even available in Microsoft's recovery form! He purchased FX Pinball 2 tables on that profile for me the day he found out he had pancreatic cancer. FX Pinball was the last game he and I played together. There isn't a lot of stuff on that profile but anyone should understand why recovery is so important to me! Microsoft should go back the entire life span of the system on credit card info if necessary. I talked for 3 hours with Microsoft support 7 different agents only to get no results. After filling out the recovery form 2 times I have to wait 24 hours before another attempt! According to support the reason they go to such lengths to confirm identity is to protect my account from being scammed but who scammed me in reality! I thought once you bought digital content it was always yours! I know the name, birthday, region, state, zip code, email used but cant access the email, security question answer, and the last four digits on the credit card used to make the last purchase as well as the full name on the card used on that profile, however that is not enough for Microsoft's Account recovery team! Does that sound like protecting my profile from being scammed. One of the support guys I spoke to assured me if I could find that old credit card info I'd get my profile back! Another lie perhaps? Has anyone else known of this kind of issue and if so was it resolved?
