    Does anyone else have this huge problem?


    I'm part of the alpha skip ahead program so bugs are expected, but this bug keeps happening and the only way to fix it is to factory reset my console, it happened with this latest update, if I had to give a number this is like the 5th time I've had to reset my console just to use it, I've reported it but it seems like I'm the only one having this issue. Any thoughts?

    Just to be clear and remove misinformation....

    The X1 does support surround sound via the HDMI (which the OP made clear was his setup). It is only via optical out that the X1 (currently) doesn't support surround.

    Does anyone else have this problem?

    I figured it out. After some study I found out that tv's don't do dolby pass through to optical. It converts it back to 2 channels. Looks like I will going out and buying a new receiver next week. Time for another expensive upgrade I guess! Lol. The missus
    is not going to be happy!!!
