Does anyone else experience a weird "clicking" sound when playing Xbox 360 games while on...

the TV is set for surround sound, and i'm using the new HDMI cable that came with the console. the audio also has the clicks in it even when using headphones attached to the controller, so i do not believe it has anything to do with the console's connection to the TV.

I understand, you're using the sound directly from the TV. In that case, the problem may be related to the TV or the connection between the TV and the console.

Can you confirm that the TV is set to receive surround sound? You can check this in the TV's audio settings.

You can also try changing the HDMI cable that connects the console to the TV. If you're using an old HDMI cable, it may not be compatible with surround sound.

Hi Vanessa, thank you for replying. I am not using a soundbar or anything like that, the sound is coming straight from the TV. There are no settings in the games that will fix it as far as i can tell. I probably should've mentioned this in the original post, but the sound seems to be happening in all of the games I have played, just not particularly often in non Xbox 360 titles. Switching to stereo may be a temporary fix, but i would like something that allows me to keep surround sound. As i mentioned, this has occurred in two separate consoles right out of the box, so I can't see what's causing this.
