does a videogame only need to be opened to appear in xbox windows 10 app recently played list?

1. Open Xbox App on your Windows 10 PC
2. Click on your profile photo on the left navigation menu
3. This will open your profile
4. Click on the button called "Appear Offline"

When you purchase an Xbox Play Anywhere game digitally, it’s yours to play on both Xbox and Windows 10. You only need to purchase the game once via Microsoft Store on your Xbox or Windows 10 device and it’ll appear in your game library wherever you sign in.

If you purchased the game on Xbox and want to play it on Windows 10, sign in on your Windows 10 device. If the game is already installed on your device, it’ll appear in your list of apps. Otherwise, you can install it by opening the Store and selecting My library.

1. Ensure you've installed the Windows 10 Anniversary Update on your Windows 10 PC.

2. Open the Windows Store.

3. Search for your game using the search bar.

4. Select the game once it appears under the suggestions.

5. Click Install on the listing that appears.
