“Do you own this game or app?” message on Xbox One (0x87de07d1)

I have several games that are giving me this error:

"Do you own this game or app? If you have a game disc, insert it now. If you bought this online, make sure you're signed in to Xbox Live. If you don't have rights for playing it, you'll need to get it at the Xbox Store. (0x87de07d1)"

2. Pneuma: Breath of Life

3. PoolNationFX

4. So Many Me

5. Tomb Raider Definitive Edition

What do I need to do to start playing them again?

Hi all

I recently bought my Xbox one about 3 weeks ago and bought numerous games with it including Fifa 17. I've been playing them with no problems until now, today i went to play fifa, only to find that an error message came up saying *do you own this game or
app* with three options:

1. Go to store - where i have to buy the game

2. Cancel - which removes the error message and takes me back to the Xbox home screen

3. Help - which takes me here

All other games work fine but Fifa 17 doesn't.

I purchased "Borderlands" (Xbox360 game on Xbox One) as a digital code on Amazon, entered the code on my Xbox One, downloaded it, and now I am unable to play it. The message is as follows:

"Do you own this game or app?

If you have a game disc, insert it now. If you bought this online, make sure you're signed in to Xbox Live. If you don't have rights for playing it, you'll need to get it at the Xbox Store. (0x803f8001)"

• There is no disc because it was a digital code
• I am signed into Xbox Live and I have an active Gold membership
• The Borderlands page on the Xbox Store only gives the option "Play", which again brings up this message

I have tried uninstalling and reinstalling, but that does not seem to have done anything.

 

Usually this issue is caused by impending update files and I suggest you to clear your console cache before trying to play the games again.

To clear cache on an Xbox One:

Press and hold the power button on the front of the console until it powers down completely.

Unplug the power cable from the back of the console so that the power brick in not connected to the console.

Press the power button on the console three or four times. This will ensure that any remaining power in the battery is drained, clearing the cache on the console.

Plug the power cable back into the console.

Wait for the light on the power brick to change from white to orange.

Turn on the console using the power button.

Hmmm... all of those are titles that were free with Games with Gold... does the account that "bought" them still have an active Gold subscription?

 

No dice on the reset/clear cache method, it seems... still not working whatsoever.

And I've had Xbox Live 6 years running, so... I don't think that's the issue.

What should I do/try next? Will I have to submit something directly to Microsoft?

Still can't play these titles. Does anyone have any idea what course of action I need to take next?

 

I suggest you to contact the xbox chat support so they can check your account in their database and the titles you have claimed with gold

Finally got a chance to chat with support last night. They're supposed to follow up with me on the issue. Looks like the licenses for those particular games somehow evaporated. Hopefully they'll be able to help resolve it...
