    my son used to be able to watch youtube without xbox live now it is coming up network error. Xbox is connected to the internet . Says needs xbox live membership to view. Can anyone pleae help.

    Connects to internet fine.....but no XBox live.

    "All you have to do is reset your router." Why do I need Xbox live to connect to Netflix/Hulu anyway? Maybe I'll just watch my shows in lower resolution on the kids Wii. At least it works consistently.

    If your xbox has an internet connection, then you are connected to xbox live automatically. To use Youtube, on any platform, you must be connected to the internet. Meaning if you are running offline, you will not be able to use internet based apps. If
    your inquiry is that you need Xbox Live Gold to watch Youtube, then that would be false. The Youtube app can work without a Gold subscription.

    Here's the deal, Xbox has nothing to do with the stream. It is Youtube that is doing it. You can go to Youtube app on the Xbox under "Live Now" and watch.

    Don't call Xbox they aren't the ones offering it themselves, you tube is so they wouldn't know anything about it.

    Lol. Why would you want to do that? Just tell them the name of the video and have them watch it. I don't see the point in watching a YouTube video with people over Xbox Live.
