as far as backwards compatibility....the best you can do, is plug your 360 via HDMI into your XB one and you can use your XB one user interface to play your 360 games.

You just need to sign in with your profile on "XBS" and keep the home association to "XB1". Basically as long as you're signed into your account you'll be able to download and play any games your account owns digitally. You might want to have your brother
set "XBS" as his home console though if he also owns digital content.

That should work for you.
