    Question about Xbox 360 trade in at Microsoft Store

    So with Christmas money I've been thinking about upgrading to the Xbox One. I see the Microsoft Store is offering a $100 trade in for the 360 towards the purchase of an Xbox One. If you do it online, they will accept the older versions, but it says for in store they accept only the S or E. I'm just curious if anyone has had luck trading in the older fat model in store or not. I'd prefer not to ship it, but will if I have to.

    (I plan on calling to find out when they open later today, but I thought I would ask here first to know what to expect)

    Game offering buy 360 version of games then trade in later for £40 minimum value

    I think its the very reason we are all thinking of going Digital that is making game do this to tempt folks into retail purchases.

    Until Microsoft can have some system to trade or sell digital content they cannot do this as otherwise you end up with 2 copies of the game, with GAME you trade the old 360 version so only end up with the one.

    Would be nice to see Microsoft pushed in this direction for their digital store.

    You'd have to check with your local store to see if they are doing any offers but in general no,they don't.

    You'd have to check with your local store to see if they are doing any offers but in general no,they don't.

    If your console is very old it's possible that it's finally starting to give up the ghost. You should consider doing what I did before it dies outright - find a gaming store near you that has a great trade in deal and trade your console in for a newer model
    with a warranty. I traded in my older console for a new slim during a trade in offer at my local gaming store and basically got my 250 gb slim console for $130.

    Xbox so slow... HELP

    The hard drive that you have is not compatible with the newer consoles. However, if you get a console with a hard drive then you can purchase an official Xbox transfer cable and move all the items over to the new drive.

    You don't have to trade in your controllers though. They will be compatible with the newer Xbox 360 consoles.

    If you live in the US you could check out GameStop. I believe they accept iphones, etc as trade ins as well.
