    For instance Blazblue Cross Tag Battle is play anywhere. I buy the game thru Xbox so will I be forced to pay for a subscription for online while on PC or is there no paywall

    I have xbox gamepass on xbox but it wont wok on pc.

    Gamepass for.console.is.different from gamepass for pc

    Gamepass for console has games for console with the exception of play anywhere titles.gamepass for pc has games for pc only with the exception of play anywhere .

    If you have gamepass core that's console only

    Otherwise ultimate has both

    Core/Game Pass Ultimate is not required to play online on PC. So if you play a Play Anywhere title on PC, you can play it without another subscription.

    Gamepass PC for games on pc with ea play attached

    Xbox Play Anywhere game doesn't support cloud saves - but that's an integral feature!

    nope gamepass ultimate is not required for cloud saves on PC. you don't even need gamepass for cloud saves on PC as i have many games that save to the cloud without any subs and are usable on console.

    but that game is a play anywhere game and the whole deal with that is you get to play your game on console and windows 10 pc and your save goes with you, regardless of sub.
