Do I need Xbox live to play toy story 3?

I have a physical Xbox 360 toy story 3 game and when I go to play it on my Xbox one it says that I need to sign in to Xbox live or else the game won't save any of the progress I make.

P.G I never owned an Xbox 360. I only have this one game.

Xbox 360 games played on Xbox One store the saved data on cloud storage. You need to be connected to Xbox Live in order for progress to be saved to the cloud. You don't need Xbox Live Gold (Now known as Game Pass Core) for this, just a connection to the Xbox Network. Do you have an online Xbox account set up?

Hi I have checked all owned game is not there and the game is toy story 3 an Xbox 360 but you can play it on Xbox one

One my grandchildren play over and over is Toy Story 3. They are 3 and 6 year olds.

it to 360 should put it on the ready to install section after a quick power cycle. This is one way around this little problem. Am in the insider program myself and have literally just done it that way so it works

it seems you need to purchase it using an xbox 360 console.

i'm trying to find a local 2nd hand copy of the game or a 2nd hand console....
