    do i need xbox gold for minecraft if i already have game pass ultimate?


    i have the ultimate subscription and i'm trying to play minecraft with friends but it tells me that i can't play multiplayer because of how my microsoft account is set up. i changed all of my online safety settings and i have ultimate, but it still doesnt let me play. do i need gold?

    in these 2 tabs, allow everything, and at the end of each one, click "send"

    No, you do not need to upgrade to Ultimate. You only need that if you want Game Pass for console, pc, Xbox Gold, Cloud Gaming & EA Play in one package. If you just have Minecraft and want to play online with friends, then you only need a gold subscription. If you do not own Minecraft, then you can purchase it, or get Game Pass for console, and play the game using Game Pass instead.

    Do you have standard Game Pass or Game Pass Ultimate? Gold is needed to play online. Gold is included with Game Pass Ultimate, but not standard Game Pass. So if you only have Game Pass, you either need to add Gold or upgrade to Game Pass Ultimate.
