Do I need to re-buy DLC for The long dark one more time?

Hello everyone!

I was a lucky owner of The long dark and its expansion (tales from the far lands) on xbox series. The game supports Xbox Play Anywhere feature so I wanted to install it on my PC from the same Xbox(microsoft) account, but I only have found a standart version of the game in my library (excluding owned DLC). I tried to install it, hoping that it would be included in but that didn't work.

Do I need to re-buy DLC for The long dark one more time on PC? Or is there a way to contact developers and ask them to transfer my purchased DLC and in-game saves from Xbox to PC?

Your are right, that`s what I own on Xbox.

So, as I can undersand, it is impossible to play my worlds which were included in the DLC on PC. Sad to hear that

I really thought that Play Anywhere feature allows me to use same content on any platform.

Thx for your answer and added info! Maybe you know about some future "hinterland" upcoming discounts? Cause currently I can`t afford another purchase of this DLC. Will be great to have an answer)

Is this the DLC that you own on Xbox?

Because, by looking at the playable section, the DLC is for just Xbox.
So it seems that only the base game has the Play Anywhere feature.

Hi, SolidV23. Unfortunately, there is no way to know when a sale for this DLC PC version is going to be available. However, I think it could be a good idea to check on Black Friday or Christmastime.

Microsoft and developers usually put games and DLCs on sale at a discounted price.

I made the mistake of buying The Dark Below on my xbox one, assuming I could transfer it down to my 360 as well.

Nope.

After about three hours of being on the phone with xbox, I ended up just re-purchasing the DLC a second time for my 360. They were willing to refund me the money I had already spent BUT I would have to delete the DLC from my xbone. I really didn't feel like
re-downloading it so chose to cough up another 20 bucks.

Anyways, if you buy it on 360, it can be transferred to your xbox one.

Buy it on your xbox one...then you're ***.

All in all, we 360 users just have to wait till tuesday.
