Do i need to fix something?

I was wondering if its just my xbox settings or in general its happening but my network settings wont let me play because it saids “The following service is experiencing issues: Purchase and Content Usage” i just want confirmation on whether its my xbox or like its happening to everyone too

This didn't help anything Xbox "Store and Subscriptions" is still down. Is anyone actually working on a solution? It's been down for 6 days now if not more. Wish they would at least put a notification up on the status page letting people know they are still working on it.

When I test my network connection this is the message I get.

"Your network is good, but there are some Xbox service issues.

Sorry there's a problem on our side. To see which services are affected, check

the current service status in Settings > Network settings or go to Xbox.com/status

All other testing is good.

Any idea when this might be back up?

At the moment, there is just an outage reported, and it's associated with completing game pass quests.

Could you try performing a power cycle in your console before checking the network section one more time?

“Turn off the console by holding the Xbox button on the front of the console for approximately 10 seconds. The console will be turned off.

Turn on the console again by pressing the Xbox button on the console or the Xbox button on the controller.

If you do not see the green startup animation when the console is restarted, repeat these steps.

Be sure to hold down the power button until the console is completely turned off.

Important: If the console is in sleep mode, the steps above will turn off the console completely. Sleep mode, or the ability to turn on the console by saying “Xbox on”, will not be activated until you restart the console.”

May I know if you tried gifting the subscription to your son?
If you didn't tried that, please go to xbox.com and search for the desired game pass subscription.
Once you're in the item description page. You can see a button with three dots. Click there and you should be able to see the "gift" option
