Do I need an Xbox Game Pass to play cross play on EAFC24?

You need game pass core or ultimate to play online

If the game is cross-play, then if you own the game, then you will need Gold or Game Pass Ultimate to play with your Friend on PC. Since the game is available on Game Pass, then you will need Xbox Game Pass to play the game if you do not own it.

Hi, I have just signed up to the new game pass ultimate. Is cross platform play available for these games? Can I play on PC with friends who have the same game on Xbox One.

Also, if I have the same game through game pass on both xbox one and PC, do the saved games transfer from one to the other. If not, this should really be a feature

As long as the title is play anywhere or allows for cross platform in this case (PC / xbox) then yes, you can do that.

Hi, brand new xbox series x, bought cod mw2 cross gen game disc, installed, but only allows dmz or battle Royale, I Uninstalled the game and reinstalled, and same thing. Unable to get to Quick Play, or any other game modes COD has. When I click on the actual game is makes me choose Game Pass A or B. Almost like the game is not there and/or i need to purchase a game pass to play it, or repurchase the whole game. Does it require a previous COD game on the xbox for the cross gen to work properly? Need help! Thanks!

I have the exact same issue and can’t figure it out. I’ve downloaded all of the updates etc and still says I need to purchase the game pass to play even though I just paid $70 for the game. Very frustrating!

So that's the difference aside from price. Well being the game I wanted was cross platform play I guess I don't need game pass ultimate.
