    so lately my Xbox One X has been having issues starting up games. I can use YouTube, Netflix, etc just fine. but when I start up a game, my whole Xbox will shut off, and I can't turn it back on unless I unplug it and plug it back in. then it just does it again when I try to game.

    I've troubleshooted MANY times (bought a new power supply, cleaned it, cycled the power, moved it to a more ventilated area, cleared the cache, etc.) and it's STILL doing it. it has done this before, and a new power supply seemed to help for a while, but now it's doing it again. today I decided to do a complete factory reset hoping it would solve any issues, and it's still just as bad.

    anyone have any advice? I don't want to have to get a new console because I can't afford it. just wanna know if there are any other fixes anyone knows of that might help before I consider buying the Series S or X. thanks

    In the meantime, maybe try cloud gaming? I have seen videos online about the Xbox One X failing after a short time. This sounds like you've had it for a while. If you can't do cloud gaming or if nothing else works, I would try selling it and then buying an Xbox Series S. The Xbox Series X costs about $299.99 (or you can get it for $24.99 a month with Xbox All Access which also includes Game Pass Ultimate), and it is slightly less powerful than the Xbox One X, but it has an SSD which makes games load way faster. Plus, there have not been many reports of it failing either. I don't see how your Xbox One X would work unless it got checked out by a technician or something.

    I´m guessing you have provided proper ventilation to the console as well right?

    We don't recommend doing anything like that to our Xbox accessories.
