No you should report the people asking and advise the person they were asking not to give out private information.

I'd report it, if it happens in open chat it's worth reporting.

I had this situation before. What I would do on my part is to block them and then report them. That's all you can do. Don't even try to lash back at them in any way.

Yep, I've been seeing it a lot in the chat on a particular game I've started playing. One or two ppl will be asking particular chatters for their names, age and info. When a chatter is not forth coming, the other person (it seems they work in twos for
this reason) will volunteer their info. This usually get others to give their info too. I guess the chatters volunteering their info. don't want to appear to be uptight and unfriendly. The ones asking for the info don't give up and then usually there usually
is unwarranted statements like "suck it hard and good". This particular statement came out of the blue after several of the chatters gave their names in an apparently friendly chat. It is a pattern.

I wasn't participating in the chat at this point, I was observing. I was just reading the chat while playing the game. I had noticed this kind of dynamic the day before and I have been paying attention to see if it was a one time thing. Apparently not.

Does this go on a lot?
