Do I have to mute everyone individually?

I like playing the game but I fu**ing hate hearing whats going on in someone else's house. Theres always a guy trying to explain to a girl how to play or a young kid talking to their parents about something else. Is there a setting I can change that will
let me hear just the game and not other people? Ive already tried turning my Kinect off..that didn't work. I am just tired of muting my entire tv and playing with no sound until I have muted everyone that's playing the game. Then when you think you've muted
everyone, someone else joins and starts annoying the *** out of you again. AAAGGGGHHHHH!!!! Surely there is much more simple answer than having to mute everyone individually? Xbox surely didn't produce a system to where you have to hear chat or nothing at
all, right?

I wasn't aware that it wasn't possible to mute yourself, but I do agree that it is weird that you can mute others but you can't mute yourself.

It's so bad in this game I had to mute everyone unless in a party.First game I've had to do this and I would say to everyone just mute and play the game the way you want to play and have fun!Muting everyone in game takes to long so do it in the 360 options.

 

I agree PLEASE tell us how to mute the baby crying in the background. I HATE IT!!

 

I have heard some will create a XBL party so as not to hear all of the non-headphoned players through their Kinects.

 

I had the exact same problem aswell and a very abusive scotsman that ruined the game for everyone, with his personal attacks and constant swearing, just hope the others reported him aswell!

 

Create your own party on XBL and you will not hear anyone. If you still want to hear the non-abusive ones then yes individually is what needs to be done.

 

PS report the abusive ones through your console.

 

Not anymore! The update yesterday added a 'mute all' by pressing 'Y' in the menu! Thankfully.
