Do I get to keep the games with xbox game pass ultimate

The games are only playable as long as you have the subscription. Once the subscription ends, then so does the access to the games. If you want to own them, you have to purchase them.

Technically if you were to make a new xbox account you would be able to have promotional pricing. But, since that's not really ethical or fair to microsoft, I reccomend you get game pass ultimate for a year after you get game pass at the promotional price,
keep in mind that game pass ultimate includes a full subscription to game pass and xbox live gold.

Buying the Xbox Game Pass Ultimate while having a subscription already will convert the days you have left into Xbox Game Pass Ultimate with no extra cost. The Xbox Game Pass Ultimate includes Xbox Game Pass and Xbox Live Gold.

You will be charged Rs 699 if you purchase Xbox Game Pass and then purchase the Ultimate version.

Games will not be able to run if you do not have a valid internet connection. This is due to microsoft needing to verify the accounts subscription to Xbox Game Pass. If you start the game and then turn off the internet connection, you might be able to keep
playing.

with Xbox Live Gold you get 3 free Games With Gold each month that are yours to play as long as you have an active Live Gold subscription. if you play any of those games then you will want to keep Live Gold

with Xbox Game Pass you have access to all the games in the Game Pass library. if you play any of those then you will want to keep Game Pass

as the others have said, there is a new service which combines Live Gold and Game Pass called Ultimate Game Pass (which works out cheaper than the 2 separate subscriptions)

if you upgrade to Ultimate Game Pass it will convert any Live Gold and/or Game Pass you have into Ultimate Game Pass.

do not cancel Ultimate Game Pass as it does not give you back the separate Gold and Game Pass that was converted.

it's best to turn off recurring billing and just let the Ultimate Game Pass run out if you wish to go back to only using Game Pass or Gold.
