Do I get a digital code after buying a game from the Xbox website

purchasing games on the xbox website when logged in with your account, applies the game to your account, you do not get a code unless you are gifting.

May I ask what game is it you are trying to buy? If this is a digital game you purchased via Xbox website, you will not receive a code or disc. The license will automatically gets associated on the Microsoft account/gamertag you used to purchase the game.

So all you need to do to install the game is to make sure you sign in with the right account used to purchase the game on your console, search for the game, and you will find there the option to install it. The only time you will receive a code for game purchases is if you purchased the game from a third party store, or if the game has been gifted to someone elses account then a code will be generated.

After completing your purchase on the Xbox website, you will generally receive the digital code via email or through the Xbox Live messaging system.

I have around 150 with half of them are digital games… I get the digital ones from Xbox Live free gold and with deals they do on the Xbox website !!!

I remember buying games from Eb games / Gamestop when it first comes out and entering a code to get extra stuff for the game. Will buying digital download correct that where I just get to download it and not enter the code because it is a digital download
