Do chat communication bans also count in games?

Okay so.

Me and my friends were in a call and one was sending copypastas as a joke. So I chose to send one specifically to my friend on Xbox, it was nothing harmful it was some dumb femboy copypasta. But because he decided he was gonna be funny he reported the messaged. I then got a warning saying now I can’t use chat for a week.

Fast forward, I wanted to say “bruh” in overwatch chat, and the message never came up. I was more annoyed then and got pissed.

Can I ask if getting a chat ban for the console will transfer over to being banned from chatting in games for the duration of the ban?

I got xbox banned, now I can;t talk in fortnight. It says, cannot use voice chat due to your console permissions. Only happened after I got banned lol.

Hello Frzer, when you receive an Xbox Enforcement ban or suspension it affects all your game communications, and it always shows an end date of the suspension.

However, if your suspension was in-game from Overwatch, it only affects the game.

3 days and counting with the issues, my subscriptions are also counting down.

Don't even use the chat, don't use anything that would ban me, just play games and stream and I get a perm suspension.

Also make sure you are not currently banned from communication. If the XBLET banned you from messages/parties, you will also not be able to chat in-game.
