Do apps such as SkyGo / Plex run smoothly on XBox 360

Hi,

Hoping someone can help me with my question.

Thinking about getting an XBox 360.

Would use it to replace Apple TV3 for Netflix, Sky Go and Plex apps.

Anyone tell me if these apps run smooth on such old hardware and is the interface in general smooth?

Skygo xbox

Looking to buy a 360 to stream skygo as the one doesn't, do people know if the skygo app still works well? And now you have to have gold membership to run it, does gold on xbox one mean I also have it on 360?

But... there is a Windows phone app for SkyGo, running on both WP8.1 and WP10.

Is there a way to run WP apps on Xbox 360 or Xbox One?

In my experience, they have both run absolutely fine. The only things that would effect them are the connection speed you get from your ISP and whether you connect via Ethernet or WiFi to your console.

I do have Plex server running on my local network but my xbox360 media player not finding the Plex contents.

what app you using to see plex contents on your xbox??

SkyGo was my most used app on the 360 was gutted to find out it's not on XB1 and not in development for it either

i have adapted, i have Plex server streaming to a Chromecast that is currently plugged into my Xbox, and use the Plex app to navigate and control the media, so much better than using the 360. can't wait until a Plex app is released for the X1.
