    DLNA (Play-To) not longer functioning!

I was watching videos fine for several days, now all of a sudden when I go to use the feature it does not work. It detects the Xbox-SystemOS and attempts to play, but then says error occured on device. I'm trying to play the exact same videos I was before
that I know worked. It will boot up xbox video on my xbox one but that is it.

I've tried unplugging my xbox one for several minutes. Did not work.

I've tried restarting the Xbox one. Did not work.

I've tried restarting my computer. Did not work.

I've tried restarting my router. Did not work

I tried throwing my xbox one out the god $&(# window and started up my PS4. Works fine now.

    Thanks.

    :)

    DLNA/Play To Not Working

Actually, scratch all of that. Now the Xbox One shows up in the phone app and I can share content to it, but it comes up in Xbox Video, which won't let me choose to make the image my dashboard background. The phone still won't show up in Xbox One Media Player.
    Any thoughts?

    DLNA/Play To Not Working

I'm trying to use Media Player to connect via DLNA/Play To in order to set a custom background for my dashboard. I'm using a Nokia Lumia 1520 with the Lumia PlayTo app, On the Xbox One, the Media Player always shows "No Devices Found." On my phone, the
Lumia PlayTo app finds my Smart TV, but not the Xbox One. Actually, as I've been typing this, I opened the Media Player and found that it sees this computer just fine. The phone and the Xbox One are on the same wireless network, so that shouldn't be the issue.
Any idea why this isn't working? I saw an article by a Windows Phone news site in which they used this exact setup (Xbox One, Lumia 1520, Lumia PlayTo app) with immediate success, so I'm not sure what I'm doing wrong.

Bug: Xbox Windows Media Player cant cast audio

"You mentioned that you use third party apps for this, those probably would also need updates after the change on the app for music on Xbox"

This isn't true. Xbox supports "DLNA / UPnP" which are universal protocols. It doesn't matter what software I use to cast, Windows, IOS, etc. As long as the casting app is compliant to the UPnP/DLNA protocol then the Xbox should be able to play casted content.

Are you saying that the Xbox one is no longer DLNA/UPnP compliant and therefore no longer supports this protocol after the update?

"those probably would also need updates after the change on the app for music on Xbox"

I am an app developer for one of the 3rd part apps that cast to Xbox One. What changes specifically need to be implemented in my app to account for the Xbox One no longer being UPnP/DLNA compliant?

Does xbox one have a system video player like what the 360 had?

    Hey Torchy84,

The Xbox One does have a system video player app - its Xbox Video. In its current state it can play xbox video marketplace content (tv shows & movies) and it can also accept DLNA play-to content as a DLNA receiver from your PC. It currently does *NOT* browse
network for playback like the 360 does, i hope we see that functionality soon as the apps get improved.

Here is a simple walk through guide i found that may better help you figure out remote media playback support.
