DLC not showing up for Defense Grid The Awakening on Xbox One

My DLC for Defense Grid: The Awakening (Map packs 1-4 and You Monster) is playable on my Xbox 360 but not on my Xbox One.

I've read through the forums and such and see that this is not an uncommon problem, but the solutions suggested have not worked for me. Here is what I have tried so far:

1. Completely uninstall

a. The game

b. All the DLC modules

c. and cleared the 10 MB of Reserved Space

2. Completely shutdown and restart the console.

3. Reinstall the game and the 5 DLC modules. I have tried this completely from scratch (i.e. after doing steps 1 and 2 in each case) in two different ways:

a. From the "Ready to Install" section of the Games area.

b. From the Xbox Store.

The games and DLC show up as Installed when I go into my games area, and when installing from the store I see the notifications of Download Complete popping up at the bottom of the screen.

4. I start the game. As suggested in one of the forums, I tried waiting at least one full minute at each of the following three screens before doing anything else

a. The intro screen, where it says to "Press > to start"

b. The main application screen (where you can press "Play")

c. The Campaigns option screen. (This is the screen where the only options offered are Awakening and Borderlands. Resurgence and You Monster are not showing up.)

5. I've tested my internet connection by browsing to Speedtest.net from within the browser on the Xbox One. My download speed is 60 Mbps and upload speed is 4 Mbps.

I'm out of things to try. Any ideas?

Defense grid DLC problem

I recently installed the original defense grid onto my xbox one, including all the DLC for it. It shows that the game and all of the DLC are downloaded and installed, but only the first map pack shows up in the game. I have uninstalled and reinstalled
all of the content and it is still not showing up in my game.

Strange your DLC isn't showing up for you. Is it possible another account on your Xbox 360 purchased the DLC? If that's the case, only that account would be able to download the content on your Xbox One.

I don't believe that that's the problem - it's the same account (I only have one, and my other Xbox 360 backward compatible games work fine on both consoles), and I can install the DLC from the Xbox Store without paying for it again. (The button in the
store says "Install" rather than "Buy".) It also shows up as Installed when I go to the game's "Manage Game" screen. Even from within the game, when I go to the in-game DLC screen, it tells me that I've already purchase it but can download again.

So every indication is that it is purchase and installed; it just isn't showing up in-game.

 

Well, here's an update - the DLC suddenly appeared. This is all I think I did.

1) Moved the game and all DLC from my external drive to Internal.

2) I ran the game and went into the game's Play menu. Still no DLC.

3) Out of frustration, I popped back to the main menu and back to Play, then back to the game's startup screen then back to Play. I may have done this a couple of times. Suddenly the DLC was there.

Go figure. But at least it's working now; hopefully this can help someone else.

 

Well, it suddenly started working. Here is what I remember doing.

1) I moved the game and all the DLC from my external USB drive to the internal drive.

Result: Did not seem to help. When I went into the Play menu, still no DLC.

2) Out of frustration, I exited the Play menu and popped back in, then exited all the way to the game startup screen (where is says "Press > to start" or something like that), then back to the main menu then into the Play menu.

Result: Suddenly the DLC was there.

I have no idea what actually made it work, but hopefully this can help someone else.
