no. in the end i bought a 2.5" internal sata hard drive. then got a 2.5" usb 3.0 SATA external hard disk enclosure. it sounds more confusing than it is. but worked for me. put red dead 2 on there (which is 107GB) soooo.

well i'll just go ahead and state this again...i'd rather them come up with the newer models of xbox ones with bigger 1 or 2 terabyte hdd's myself. Sata II is faster then USB 3.0...would be nice to get sata III drives but i'd be happy with a 2 terabyte
sata II drive instead of yet another device sitting next to my xbox one (external hdd) or a long usb 3.0 cable running to my av closet (which again would affect speeds). My thoughts on internal vs external data...

Sorry to hear that you're dealing with this issue using your new external hard drive.

I would say that if you have already gone through all the troubleshooting steps listed here on

Troubleshoot external storage detection on Xbox One, then I would suggest what we call a soft reset and see if that helps out.
It's a reset of your console back to factory settings but one that does not uninstall any of your games or apps and is a really good troubleshooting step for most issues.

Just make sure that before you go ahead with it, that you do know all of the sign-in information for any/all of your accounts(asthey
will be removed) and have easy access to your internet network.

Also make sure that you select the option denoted
reset and keep my games and apps.

Mon DD est neuf c'est un SATA 2.5 USB 3.0 dune capacité de 1 To. Il y a pas de message sur la Xbox one. J'ai réalisé les 3 opérations notifiés dans le support technique d'aide mais ça change rien.

Sur mon Pc je le trouve que ci je vais dans le poste des périphériques sinon il est considéré comme port USB.

Je sais pas quoi faire vi que sur mon Pc Windows m'indique qu'il ne peut pas réaliser le formatage. Merci pour votre aide.

Hello Aurelie,

If the Pc will not let you format for some reason, you will need to get with the manufacturer and find how to format the drive. As it is the hard dive is probably formatted as a media device which is why the Xbox is not picking it up.
