  1. DisplayPort support

    Hi Xbox team,

My monitor supports up to 4k@144Hz through display port only, when I connect xbox to the DP I get no picture. Is there a way to connect it? If not, could Xbox add display port support? That would be great to save us from buying new monitors/TVs

    Thank you in advance

    :)

    Hi,

I take it you've attempted to do this via an adaptor?

I'm going to disappoint you. Currently there are no HDMI 2.1 to DP 1.2 adaptors.

My guess is you've bought a DP to HDMI adaptor cable, correct? If you have, you've bought the wrong cable. These cables only go one way.

Buying an adaptor won't work anyway. Like I said earlier, there are no HDMI 2.1 or 2.0 to DP 1.2 cables. HDMI to DP cables are HDMI 1.4 which max out at 1080P @60Hz or 4K @30Hz, 1440 won't be an option.

They can't add Disport Port Support without a newly revised console with the port built in.
Hey thanks for your answer, I have got display port 1.4 to hdmi 4k@120hz adapter, i thought it would be possible as I connect the HDMI coming from the xbox in the adapter then into the monitor, but nothing happened so i thought maybe a software update that reads the DP could fix it, but I'm just guessing, I don't know how it exactly works

Xbox one s compatability with a monitor

Make sure also that the monitor supports, HDMI Displayport 2.0 as that what the Xbox One S and Xbox One X use, I believe that the standard Xbox One only uses HDMI Displayport 1.4,

Its possible that the monitor only supports HDMI Displayport 1.4,

Its possible that you're TV has HDMI Displayport 2.0, which could be the reason it works on the TV but not the monitor.
