Display Override Doesn’t Allow Full Forced Control…

I have full control online on website, or when playing by myself which i do most of the time, my nephew primarly comes over just on saturdays and plays for 5 hours or so. He cant get into the account on website because I have control over that, but when
playing in a game is where its frustrating and he overrides me on what games to play or choose with the controller which overrides my controller for choosing. Thats what i want to change or not allow him to do when playing games online.

Is the override TV settings an option on the TV or the Xbox? Or is that the display override to HDMI

- From Home, navigate to Settings
- Then go to General > TV & Display options
- You’ll see a menu that shows Display, Setup and Advanced.
- Under Display, if your tv allows for it, click refresh rate in the drop down menu and change it from 60 Hz to 120 Hz. - Your system should automatically adjust
- You’ll receive a message if your tv does not support 4K with 120Hz, stating that the Xbox will revert to the highest resolution supported by your display that will allow for 120Hz refresh rate.
- You can then choose to keep those display options.

- In overrides, select HDMI and “use manual settings”

To override your TV's settings, try this;

For this to work you'll need a HDMI 2.1 cable and the TV also needs to have a HDMI 2.1 port as well.

I was having the same problem , i did everything, played the game for an hour say on 1080p cause it doesn't think my LG c2 don't support 4k and the rest , I changed my settings to hdmi only on the Xbox series x settings , in order to play in 1080p full screen , I then went back to TV and display settings and changed it auto detect overrides setting and then allowed me to turn everything on , tick everything, so it kinda feels like it's to do with the auto detect (recommended) display settings, it's weird , Microsoft please look in to this , thanks
