Display not working low res mode.

Can anybody recommend a solution to the HDMI display not working above the 480p mode?

Xbox one S not displaying anything, tried 3 different TV's, Multiple HDMI cables (1 ,1.4 and 2) to no difference. So I have done the hard reset into low resolution mode to get it working.

From here I have manually selected between HDMI output and Auto in the settings and everytime I try select anything over 480p (have options for 480p, 720p, 1080p, 1440p) it waits its 20 second cooldown before reverting to 480p.

Is this pointing at a stuffed pot and hardware issue or is there something I'm missing.

Same problem on the Xbox one s, tried the troubleshooter and resetting the console, didn't help...

Can it be a corrupted update?

If not what should I do?

If you have an issue with your Xbox one not displaying a picture you need to turn it off by holding the power button for 5 seconds.

Then hold disc eject and power until you hear a beep this then puts it in low res mode.

It should start up okay then go into settings and change your display back to whatever you use i.e 1080p.

Have you tried starting the console in low resolution mode yet?

Here is how it's done.

It should be a nice quick fix and then all you will have to do is re-set the resolution to one that actually works for your display.
