    Display Name didn't update on PC


    Hello friends,

    So I changed the name that I was given when first signing up for my Xbox account, it changed everywhere except for my PC app. It's changed on my phone app but not my PC app. it also changed on the xbox website. when I play games I show up as my new name
    as well. So I went to go name change, but it's already told me my name has changed. I tried uninstalling the app and reinstalling it but still didn't change. It's changed everywhere but my social console. oh Halp. plz and thank you!

    What does 'dead man' mean?

    My display name is not dead man, but I figure out that dead man is my Skype name. I didn't use Skype for years so I forgot.

    Now I change my Skype Name and waiting for updating. Perhaps my old Skye name stands there :D

    You can change it on your PC by clicking on this link: account.live.com/summarypage.aspx

    You want to log into your account and click on 'Edit Name' (right under the first option 'Display Name').

    The next time you start up your console it should have updated (and if it doesn't, give it some time to update).

    This worked on my PC monitor but I want to use the Xbox on my TV where the tutorial can't fix it, I did what was said but the screen didn't display anything.

    Should I wait for an update to fix this issue?

    No, you would have to change your tag. Some games offer custom name display, but not many
