Disney Plus not playing in surround sound

    Disney Plus not playing in surround sound


    I have an Xbox One X and can't get surround sound from Disney Plus. With the EXACT same setup, I get surround from Blu Ray and Netflix, but not Disney +. Setup: Xbox One HDMi to AV receiver, then 5.1 setup.

    Settings: A/V control> Audio = Surround Sound (which I have changed to see if it improved. It did not)

    When I stream Disney + from my phone to AV Receiver vis Google Chromecast, I get surround sound.

    What gives?

    Xbox series X no sound.

    Tried this twice and problem still persists. In fact no sound in Netflix or Disney plus at all now and only followed above instructions. Really frustrated with this.

    Passing my cable box via HDMI to the Xbox One disables Digital Surround Sound!!

    I set mine up with the hdmi, plus a fiber optic cable for the surround sound. When the Kinect did it testing, it had me turn down the speakers twice. The sound is awesome.

    Disney plus issue.

    I’m currently experiencing the same issue. I recently bought a new Xbox Series S and unable to play any Disney Plus content. The content plays briefly before the video stops followed shortly by the audio.

    I have other streaming apps that have no issues and I have another Xbox Series S that plays Disney Plus with no issues.

    The Xbox supports that output configuration so there must be no trouble with the output trough S/PDIF cable as the output is managed by the console
