    Disk based games not recognized- Region issues?


    I'm in Australia and only Mass Effect, Gears 1 and Borderlands are working.

    Fable 2, Gears 2 & 3, Assassin's Creed 2 just have an error message when I insert the disks: something like, "This game is not compatible. See Xbox.com for a list of backwards compatible titles"

    All of the games I purchased through Xbox live on the 360 (from the list) are working, and appeared ready to download in my games list.

    I'm part of the Preview Program if that makes any difference, but I think it might be a region problem.. PAL in Australia..

    Has anyone had the same problem?

    Why is Gears of War: Judgement Region Locked? - I feel cheated!

    You can always get disk based games and. Dlc

    Since you are an xbox live region it would be the fine for you to download the southafrican version of the game not north american or uk but the south african version all disk versions would be your local versions

    Question about regions.

    Game disks are not coded for regions for the Xbox One and the language should be based on the language that your Xbox One console is set to under Settings > System > Language and Location.

    Is this a disk based game? If so, disk games for Xbox One are region free.

    "Can't download" error at ~%80 :(

    You would have to buy a disk copy from etailers or retailers

    It is not recommended that you buy out of region disks however due to issues with not playing out of region disks on in region consoles

    Pal games will work with pal consoles but not NTSC consoles

    If you're in the military most bases are recognized as having a US IP address. Are you living off base? You could try bringing the console to base and seeing if that fixes the problem without migrating regions.
