    Dish Network Parental Passcode


    I have a VIP 722 and it is setup to go through the Xbox One. Everything works fine except I have the parental Pascoe set up one the 722 for content.everyone I change channels to go to a program that requires a postcode I cannot enter anything into the prompt.

    Is there a way to make this work with the Xbox? Our do I need to use the 722 remote for this?

    Why Does Dish Network Not Partcipate With Any Of The Xbox Apps

    Because Dish Network is ghetto as hell. DirecTV destroys Dish.

    My Xbox Live passcode has been forgotten!

    Are you referring to the Xbox LIVE passcode or the Parental Settings passcode? Only the LIVE passcode can be removed by recovering. The parental passcode can only be removed by either knowing the passcode or answering the secret question.

    If the DVR software is prompting you to input a passcode, this can only be done with the DVR remote, as the DVR is the actual device asking you for a parental passcode (not the Xbox).

    The Xbox One only simply shows what's being sent to the HDMI-input -- the Xbox has no actual control over the connected HDMI device.

    There is no way to use the DVR user interface with the Xbox One controller, if that's what you're asking. Just stick with the DVR remote!

    Prince: This is incorrect. Recovering an account will only reset an Xbox LIVE passcode, not the parental passcode.

    Dodge: The only way you can remove a parental passcode is to A) know the passcode, or B) know the answer to the security question.

    That depends, are you referring to the Xbox LIVE passcode (to sign in to the account) or the Parental Passcode (download content, change settings)? The LIVE passcode can simply be reset by recovering your account, or going into the menu and disabling it
    (requires the passcode). The Parental passcode will not be affected by recovering, and can only be disabled by knowing the code or answering the security question.

    Hi there. Yes unfortunately you will need to contact the xbox support line for this matter. The passcode which can be reset by recovering your account is the xbox LIVE passcode that the account owner sets, not the parental passcode which the parental account
    sets.
