Discussion of the size new pins icons and a suggestion

I'm in the Alpha ring and I just received the update that has the rounded edges for pins, with space between each. First off it looks great. However, they now seem like they are smaller than before. They are now so small that they have lost quite a bit of usability for me.

In this design are taking up only a portion of the screen, in part to showcase the previously played game art as the background, which I admit looks very nice. However, there is a gap of blank space above the pins, about the size of one pin, and blank space below the pins about the size of two pins, along with the left quarter or fifth of the screen dedicated to UI. So, with 40 pins (organized into 4 rows of 10 pins) only taking up maybe 75% of my TV screen, with some blank spaces between each makes them smaller than before.

They are great for apps, but for the games I would like something a bit bigger. I like seeing the game art work and I also like being being able to easily see each pinned game. What I suggest is the option to resize an individual pin icon. The Windows 10 Start Menu has this. At a minimum, it would be nice to be able to have a larger size that is equivalent to four current pins. However, I suggest to look to the Windows 10 start menu for a great implementation of how to improve this part of the UI. The start menu has multiple sizes, which would be very nice to have. Make the current pin be equal to a tiny block on the start menu and just add the resizing code from the start menu

• Tiny - 1 Block
• Medium - 2x2 Tiny size blocks
• Wide - 4x2 Tiny size blocks (or 2x1 medium)
• Large - 4x4 Tiny size blocks (or 2x2 medium)

Here's an example of how it could look. Cuphead would be a large block, Gears 4 would be a wide block, GTA 5 and Halo 5 would both be medium blocks and Twitch, Minecraft, Netflix, Disney+, Grounded, Fortnite, Hulu, and YouTube would all be tiny blocks.
