Discussion: Can I expect a mid-gen Xbox Series X refresh in December 2024?

You can expect console makers to always be working g on the next revision. There will always be something better around the corner, you just have to decide your threshold.

Given current patterns by Microsoft and other console makers I would assume some kind of upgrade every 3-4 years. There will always be something better around the corner.

Xbox One had some revisions like One S and One X.

However, one revision does not make a pattern. Since Microsoft hasn't really published a hardware roadmap or something, it's hard to say with these things. My gut feeling says, may be, but, who knows how things evolve?

Perhaps, there may be no console at all at some point in the future. Like how none of use DVDs anymore. It's all streaming.

I am personally waiting for the streaming service to become available worldwide at which point I will probably ditch the console entirely.

And it's not just an internal change you can see the mid gen refresh difference it looks like a sonos speaker sp little smaller but definitely not the rectangular shape of the series x

You wont see anything changed until.Brooklyn in july 2024 which is the mid gen refresh

More internal storage no disk drive and Bluetooth and maybe the new seil controllers which are due out in april
