  1. Disc‑to‑Digital game reviews are being flagged as “Off Topic” and removed — possible...

In the Insider App, I only have access to Delta and Omega features, no beta or others versions on my Series X console, now I know my reviews are not always good, but I never wrote anything under my Windows 11 pc, so this problem must be then related to the console itself, and the Insider, as like many users I went into it for the Discs to digital feature, I also own a PS5 Pro, so I have options, if Microsoft breaks the Series X while trying to adding this stuff.

I wanted to report something odd happening with the Microsoft Store review system on Xbox, especially when reviewing Disc‑to‑Digital titles. I

After posting a review for a Disc‑to‑Digital game directly on an Xbox console, the review was immediately:

    • flagged as “Off Topic Comments”
    • removed from the listing
    • and the user’s name/gamertag disappeared from the review section

The Store also labeled the violation under “Microsoft Store on Windows”, even though the review was written entirely on Xbox and not on Windows 11 or the Windows Store.

It looks like Disc‑to‑Digital entitlements are being treated like standard Windows Store products, and the automated moderation system may be incorrectly flagging console‑specific feedback (disc conversion behavior, entitlement activation, etc.) as “off topic,” even though those topics are directly relevant to Disc‑to‑Digital.

    Another issue:
When posting reviews for Disc‑to‑Digital titles, the review often shows 0 likes, no visible username, and sometimes doesn’t appear publicly at all. It’s unclear whether these reviews are actually visible to other users or if they’re being auto‑hidden.

If Disc‑to‑Digital titles aren’t meant to receive user reviews, the review box probably shouldn’t appear. But since the feature allows reviews, it seems like the moderation system is misclassifying them.

This may be a bug or unintended behavior in recent Insider builds, especially for users in the Delta ring, where Store moderation and backend systems are sometimes updated.

Just wanted to surface this so the team is aware. If anyone else has seen similar behavior, feel free to chime in.

Xbox one: disc vs digital download.

    hrrmmmm generalize much?
His previous post starts out with:

as of right now digital is just for lazy gamers whilst disc is for smart consumers
    Generalize much?

What consumer rights am I losing by purchasing digital? I spend my money, I get a video game in return that I play. (Sorry for being totally off-topic)

Are games being turned off for Xbox one? As I can’t play the disc once the game is removed from the store?

No, they are not being turned off. You can still play disc games once the game has been removed from the store. If the game discs are not being recognised, then it could be an issue with the discs or the disc drive. Make sure the discs are clean, and try inserting the disc again.

Is it bad to leave a disc inside my Xbox One while it's off?

Off Topic: HaloJolly! Long time no see! :)

On Topic: I agree with those who are saying that it's okay to leave it in your console (even while it's powered off) as long as you don't move your console. With my Xbox 360, I would always leave my game in the disc tray until I switched it for another game.
Even then I had no problems with the discs or the console. On my Xbox One, I've gone completely digital, so the only discs that get put into the disc tray are Blu Ray discs and DVDs that I get in the mail from Netflix.

    Oblivion GOTY issues

Its on xbox one, and the game is digitally downloaded but the dlc, shivering isles and knights of the nine, are off of the goty disc 2. I cannot play the dlc without the disc in the console but if i remove the disc and then put it back in i need to redownload
the update and the dlc off the disc.

Transfer discs games to Digital XBox one s

As stated in these post, you cannot convert your disc games to digital and the advertisement for playing existing games possibly had some fine print stating it was existing "digital" games you own. Converting the disc games to digital would be nice but
the developer would have to sign off on it and it is not just a Microsoft decision.
