    hello ..my sister and I use play Halo Master Chief and Foraz 4 ...usually every night but besides to game...we are close and talk...I start by connecting us to Obox One party..we talk for 5- 10 minutes then we start playing Halo..We have no problem connecting
    here...NOW...it could be 30 seconds or 45 minutes AND we get disconnected....game and party...started about 2 monthes ago..would happen every three or four days....now it is every time we use our Xboxes...multiple times ..sometimes after we reconnect we can
    game for as long as we want...other times we cannot reconnect or are disconnected so many times we just quit....NOW THIS. We can get disconnect from Xbox party and whatever game we are playing and I can go right into Youtube on the Xbox...SO to me this is
    an Xbox Live problem..ALSO..first my sister and I both complained to our service providers. We live about 800 miles apart but we both have Shaw Internet Service..There was nothing wrong. It was later when I tried Youtube and found it worked ...but I could
    not play Halo or talk to my sister...I tried Xboxes Virtual Assistant...I will be polite and just say this was not resolved....THANK YOU for any help.....peace

    when you do the Power Cycle, while the Xbox is turned off, unplug it from the wall socket to completely clear the cache. and also unplug your router for a few minutes to reset that as well.

    wait until your router has fully initialised after restarting before restarting your Xbox.

    you can also press the Xbox button on the controller and go to the settings to check your Network connection.

    if there are any service alerts that could affect Live it will have a message there.

    needless to say, your sister will also need to go through the same steps on her router and Xbox as the problem could be at either end.

    Try to delete your caches by holding the power button down until the console turns off.
    Then restart it and that may fix the problem.
