    Disconnecting controller


    I’ve only had this controller about a year (regular Xbox brand, red) and sometime last week it started doing something weird. In the middle of games it would disconnect and the game would warn me that I didn’t have a controller connected. However, my controller
    remained powered-on (middle button NOT blinking) but wouldn’t be connected. I would have to take my batteries out and put them back, power it on again and it would work ohkay.

    Until, this morning. This morning my controller turns on remains ‘connected’ but doesn’t control my Xbox at all. In accessory settings my Xbox tells me I don’t have a controller connected but my controller is very much on and is very much connected. I pressed
    the home button a lot out of frustration and then turned my Xbox off, and to my surprise the controller turned it back on. Like the button mashing was delayed and then sent later?

    Update: my controller does NOT work with batteries and a USB cord plugged in but DOES work with ONLY the USB cord —but I don’t have the luxury of sitting that close to it.

    I scrolled through the forums and:

    No, there is nothing in the way or interferring the distance between the controller and my Xbox.

    Yes, I tried ‘just reconnecting it’ several times.

    Yes, I updated my controller to the latest version- same issue.

    Please help me understand whats goin’ on.

    Vanguard Controller issue ...

    Connecting the controller with a USB cable doesn't work,

    Controller still disconnects even with a USB cable connected,

    I have the same issue with Series X using mouse and keyboard for Call of Duty Vanguard.

    I played during the beta and there was no problems with the controller disconnecting but as soon as the game released, the controller disconnects,

    I've tried a Xbox One controller Series X controller, with batteries and a USB cable, and the controllers still disconnects.

    When you connect your controller it disconnect you from the internet?
    I tried 2 controllers. Both are disconnecting. And when they're both connected, I can see that they disconnect at the same time.

    Well, when I don't have any controller connected the Internet is disconnected too. When I stay on the Wi-Fi / Internet page, it says "No connection" with or without a controller connected. The controller is disconnected with the Internet, even when I don't
    have a Internet connection set up.

    I miss play GTA V... :(

    Controllers won't stay connected - Xbox Series X

    Updates:

    Paired both controllers to console at the same time. Both controllers lost and regain sync at the same time.

    Paired Elite controller to iPhone. No disconnects.

    Paired one controller to console and other to phone. Controller connected to console disconnected, controller connected to iPhone stayed connected.
