Disconnecting controller PLEASE help

My story is similar. After the last update, my controller just started drifting, disconnecting, or my character would just spin in place. Did ALL of the troubleshooting and even bought a brand new controller. Same issue.

This has to be something in the last update that has *** something up. I will be going to a Microsoft store to get some answers.

I think you're on to something with the February update. When I got my Elite controller (middle of January) it worked fine for a few weeks then I started having the issues. Wonder if anybody from Microsoft will read this and look in to it.

I realise in my first post I said it was around Christmas time I started having problems but thinking about it now it can't have been as I didn't have my elite controller then. Having 2 young kids messes with your perception of time lol.

I have been having the same problem for over a month. I Think it was right after the Feb. Update I have had it for 3 years and no problems but now its basically every day and every once in a while it will work for a day no problems. Very frustrating they
need to fix this. Nothing I have done has worked.

I've tried a re-sync on both controllers and I'm no more than 6 feet from the console but still get these random disconnects. Yesterday I managed to play for Forza 6 for about 30 minutes with no issues then the disconnects came thick and fast, every 30 seconds
or so, I got fed up and turned it off.

This has to be an issue with the console, could it be something to do with the last update?? I didn't have any issues before so wonder if it's due to that or if it's just coincidence.

Hey guys! We've been having some luck with a new solution. I'd love it if you guys gave it a try, and let me know if it solves things for you. It seems to be working out for a lot of people.

1. Remove batteries from the controller

2. Plug the controller into the console with a USB cord

3. Hard reset the console (turn off, remove power source, turn back on)

4. While console is powering on, hit the bind button on the left side 3x

5. After the console is at the Dashboard, hit the bind button on the controller 3x.

6. Profit, because the controller should stay connected now. Put the batteries back in and go wireless.
