    Disconnecting at the 1:04am every night


    Every night at 1:04am my old xbox one used to disconnect and say 'DNS isnt resolving Xbox server names' so i bought the new series S and it is doing the same thig at the same time.

    Google helped me find a lot of people have this problem however all of them are able to access it within 5-10 minutes, my issue is it wont let mew back on for hours (untill morning).

    Please if anyone has any idea of something to do i would love to hear it. I have tried factory resetting both my xbox and my router and neither worked. I have tried a manual DNS and changing my I.P adress and also an ethernet cable but nothing can solve my issue. Can you?

    Hello there!

    Regarding your issue, you will need to try following the steps in order to see if this will resolve your issue:

    The following troubleshooting step will help you clear out your MAC address:

    Settings > Network Settings > Advanced Settings > Alternate Mac Address > Clear it and the console should restart. It would definitely help if you could restart the internet router while the console is restarting.

    i thought this too but i changed the ports manually one console coneceted but not to the live server all i could do is put youtube on which wasnt connected to my account.

    I didnt power cycle the xbox tho so i will try that this evening.

    thanks for the troubleshooter i have had a quick look and i will try all these this evening. It goes off at 22.00 one will drop then the rest will follow within 30 mins

    I had a similar issue. Devices disconnecting at around the same time. I Had to call my Internet provider. They came out and turned out there was an Unbalanced Load issue with the wiring outside the house.

    Since they came out to fix it I haven't had any issues. I would try and reach out to your ISP to see if there is an issue on their end.
