    Disconnected from backwards compatible game


    So Black Ops 2 became backwards compatible this week and I wanted to play it. But everytime I went on it I got disconnected from xbox live, thus I couldn't play it. I noticed that it was still using my old gamtertag for my xbox 360 account baring in my I
    had changed my gamertag recently. So I simply went onto settings> system> storage> clear local Xbox 360 storage. And it worked! It just reconnected with my xbox live account when I went back onto Black Ops 2 afterwards and it was all fine. Disconnected from backwards compatible game :) hope this helps

    Xbox One keeps disconnecting from Xbox Live while only playing Backwards Compatible Games

    As it says in the title i keep getting disconnected from Xbox Live only
    while playing backwards compatible games. Xbox one Itself works fine while playing any game. Note when i get disconnected it only happens on the on the Backwards compatible dashboard and not the Xbox one's. Iv'e tried to fix this many times even trying
    a wired connection as well as talking to Xbox's Support... Nothing has been resolved...

    Disconnecting me from Xbox Live when trying to play backwards compatible games.

    Whenever I try to play a backwards compatible game it says that I've been disconnected from live. It happens no matter which one I try. Started a couple of weeks ago.

    How Do I Enable Cloud Saves On My XBox One

    Let me understand you are trying to play Borderlands 2 (a backwards compatible game) on the xbox one and are trying to make sure your game progress is being saved to the cloud?

    Is this correct?

    You say this is happening with other games too are these games also backwards compatible games?

    When you load these games does it give you a message that you are disconnected from xbox live?

    I would also like to mention that I have Spectrum wifi. Sometimes it will let me play a backwards compatible game for 5 minutes before it disconnects me from xbox live once again.

    Reverse confusion

    Just make sure that your console is connected to Xbox Live when you are trying to install a backwards compatible game, even from disc, as all backwards compatible games need to be downloaded, not installed from disc.

    Also it is up to the developers of games to decide if a particular title is made Backwards compatible or not, feel free to reach out to them and ask about making their game(s) backwards compatible too.
