Discless Gaming

If you have a game on disc, you need the disc to play.

No. With the discless version you have to buy the games again or sell the discs to get the game for a little cheaper

^Yes. Same goes for any game EA game you own that goes in the vault. Sell that disc for discless play.

When they do release the next gen console i think they will make a normal and diskless console as they have just released a discless xbox one s but yeah i highly dout they will comptly be discless in the future.

So without being able to know (or wanting to know) the details of your purchase history, it's one of a few things:

• You own it digitally
• It is via Game Pass, and your console is set as Home console as someone who owns Game Pass
• Something similar to the above, like another user being signed in that has Game Pass, etc.
• You're lucky for now and the validation of owning the disc based game hasn't checked and you can play it until it needs to connect and check license validation.

Really there is no way for us to know your specific situation without checking your purchase history, subscription billing, or Home console settings.
