"Disc Unreadable"

Sorry of the text wall...

So recently my Xbox 360 broke down so now I've switch over to my brothers Xbox 360 slim, I've only really played one game lately so it didn't really matter; today I wanted to get back on GTA to check out the new update, however, I'm getting a 'Disc Unreadable'
error. Now, I have tried to load a couple other games to see if they loaded and aside from a basic title update they both loaded fine, with the game I've been playing a while that makes three games I have 'Readable'. I also thought that it was possible that
without the game installed on the console I might be getting this error, except the Install disc gets the same error (on a side note I was able to apply the title update with that disc before getting the error). So now both discs are getting a 'Disc Unreadable'
error whereas before on my Xbox 360 they both worked fine.

To add something more the disc is in perfect condition, I literally haven't used it or touched it in a month or two; I also went through all the troubleshooting mumbo, which didn't work and was more pointed toward a general 'Disc Unreadable' situation. Not
sure what I can do at this point because I can't get a hold of another GTA to see if it's my Disc or my brothers Xbox.

Anybody else had this issue and were able to find out what to do to fix it?

you have to take it and flush it down the toilet it fixes the xbox's disc tray i worked for me fine

So whenever I go to play a game on my Xbox 360 slim it always says "open tray" so I open and close it a good 20 times before it finally says "play game". Now when the game starts up it will play for about 2 minutes before saying "the disc is unreadable".
Now it's not just one game it happens for every single one of my games? I've never had this before it just recently started happening? Any help is appreciated!

 

Update: So just as a how the issue is fixed kind of thing.

If the Install disc hasn't been installed before the Title update, you get the Error. Fortunately, I decided to skip the update to see if I could install the disc, which worked; unfortunately, my story data is now corrupted... Well, you win some and lose
some I guess.

 

If I were you I would delete the title update and delete the GTA V PACKS, then re-download them again. Hope this help you out.
