Disc to digital questions I need answered.

To answer your first question, that's correct. At least one of the games needs to be a digital copy. As for buying a disc based game, just like before, you'll need to download the game to the HDD, but unfortunately, no, you can't upload it to the cloud.
If it's disc based, the disc has to be in the tray, plain and simple. Hope that helps.

Once you purchase it digitally from the Xbox Store, it will show up in My Games and Apps\Ready to Install. No disc needed.

as far as i know there was a plan to make it posiple to Change Discs to digital versions. Maybe there is a way but only Microsoft can answer this important Question.

This would be a good question to figure out since I have gotten Need for Speed from Gamefly. I do wish to purchase the full digital copy and send the disc back to them and keep all my saves and not have to wait a day for it to download. Good question,
however I have no idea of the answer.

A physical disc, it seems that it's only this game too. other games from discs install perfectly.
