Disc Stopped. Make sure your TV's HDMI input supports HDCP rights management

Just get a new XBox One S last week. When trying to play my old DVDs (not try BluRay yet), all show me below errors:

Disc Stopped. Make sure your TV's HDMI input supports HDCP rights management. If not, try plugging your console into a different TV input.

    with error code 0x91d7000a

Tried below methods but none of them can resolve the issue:

    1. Change HDMI cable
    2. Change HDMI port on TV
    3. Reboot XBox
    4. Set power to "Energy Saving" mode
    5. Reset XBox

My TV is Sony 60W600B and according to Sony, it fully support HDCP.

It also works well with my old DVD player.

    :)

  2. blu-ray player error code

i recently bought an xbox1 slim, whenever i put in a blu ray disc i get the following error code:

' 0x91d7000a ."Disc stopped. Make sure your TV's HDMI input supports HDCP rights management. If not, try plugging your Xbox into a different TV input"0x91d7000a '

i tried a reboot as suggested by xbox support and another hdmi input.neither worked

despite the error the blu-ray proceeds to play after the message dissappears,it just annoys me that the message appears everytime .'

Blu ray app HDCP key revocation error

    1) "Disc stopped. Make sure your TV's HDMI input supports HDCP rights management. If not, try plugging your Xbox into a different TV input. (0x91d7000a)"

    2) This I'd the second time it's happened. After the first time it took resetting & installing updates to my tv & surround unit to fix the issue. Once the issue happens it occurs 100% of the time on any device trying to play a HDCP stream to my tv (e.g.
Xbox 360 playing DVD, PS3 doing anything).

    3) The TV is connected to the surround receiver with an HDMI cable via ARC ports. The XboxOne is connected with an HDMI cable to a surround system input. The surround unit supports full HDMI passthrough. There's also a 360S & PS3 connected to HDMI input
ports. The TV & surround unit are both "smart" & connected to the internet & updated to their latest firmware. The TV & surround units are both major name brands.

    4) Random discs trigger it. But once it happens it will occur with any disc.

Prior to inserting the disc which caused this everything worked great in this set up & has been for about a year, including a couple hours before inserting the blu-ray. Initially adding the XboxOne at launch worked fine, even playing blu-rays. Connecting
to the tv directly a disc will play, so it's looking like the trying to play the disc XboxOne erroneously triggered the revocation of the surround system's HDCP keys.

Blu Ray player not playing Ultra HD Blu Ray discs

Just to answer my own question and provide the results, I was not using the TV HDMI input that supported HDCP 2.2. Since HDCP 2.2 is used for 4K copy protection you must be connected via HDMI to an input that supports HDCP 2.2 when watching protected 4K content. Once
I changed my TV input from the 4:4:4 supported input to the HDCP 2.2 input the Ultra HD Blu Rays played. It's too bad my TV has 4:4:4 and HDCP 2.2 on separate inputs. Also, I will need to upgrade my AVR to one that supports HDCP 2.2. Once I add my AVR back
into the middle between the TV and Xbox One X, the discs will not play again since my current AVR does not support HDCP 2.2.

I have the exact same problem but with my LG 60UH7700. It was working and then all of a sudden none of the movies work and I'm having hdcp issues.

    Hi ReapsCheats,

Usually this issue is due to a bad handshake with the console and TV. Is your Xbox plugged in directly to your TV, or are you using plugging into something else before the TV? If you are plugging into something else I would suggest plugging directly into
the TV. If you're still having issues after being plugged directly into the TV I would suggest trying a different HDMI port. If you're still having issues, try another TV to see if it works. And if another TV does work, I would suggest trying a different cable,
or seeing if there is a firmware update available for the TV you're using.

    Hope this helps!
