Disc game not installing

So ive being trying to reinstall halo 5 for the last 3 hours now and its stuck on 15%. Ive checked on everything that could answer this but no... Some tell before i loose my mined.

minecraft disk can't be downloaded to console

I found this thread on the Minecraft forums:

It seems like installing disc-based Xbox Live Arcade games is not a supported feature, and that would be why you cannot install it. The games need to be run off the disc.

You can't play a disc game while installing another disc game

But you can play a disc game while another is downloading, play a download while installing a disc or play a download while installing another download.

Try playing other disc games or movies in your console and if they play correctly I suggest you to check the disc of Halo 5 for eventual scratches or surface damages for that might be the cause of the issue.

In the contrary if none of the discs plays correctly your disc drive is faulty and you should send your xbox for repairs:

Do you have the new preview dashboard? Been having the same problem here and that's what it seems to be linked to. Heard that going into preview registration and changing it to go back to the old dashboard will fix it but haven't tried it yet

I would try disconnecting your xbox from the internet and try installing the game first. My nephews had this issue when installing a game and that seemed to work. From what I gathered, the game would try and install the updates at the same time the game
was installing. I hope this trick works for you. Connect the game after it is installed and download the updates then.

Same issue for me too, picked up an old copy of FIFA 15 but gets to 92% then just shows as installation stopped.

Install your game. If your game installs, then it's not your disc, but rather your cache and/or save file. If your disc doesn't install, then it's the disc.

instead of playing the game press x before you select play game. Then on disc details install the game if it installs there shouldn't be a problem with the disc. if it can't install the disc has a problem and you will need to buy a new disc.

Uninstall the game. I'm pretty sure disc 2 is the only disc you're supposed to install, or at least, install it first, start the game, and then install disc 1. Disc 2 is installed when you first boot up the game.

So, delete everything. Start the game, it'll ask you to put in Disc 2, do that, after that's done, start the game, exit to Xbox Live Dashboard, and then install Disc 1 from the dashboard.

The game is two discs. Disc two is game disc, disc one is install only. I installed both but it will be a matter of time if it makes any difference

Might try installing disc 2 before putting disc 1 on the HD. It did an update as soon as I put in the install disc, did that and then installed the game disc. Had no problems at all and the game is awesome.
